It just runs a little snuger than any other NB i own. 80% of the shoes i own are NB and usualy the size is right on but these shoes are a bit snug. I order the next full size up they were wayyy to big. I went the half size down and they are perfect. Without socks they are a perfect fit and I have walked all over in them. Used them while playing volleyball at dusk in the grass as well as while hitting some balls in a batting cage. Definitely allows my foot to breath but I think with socks it would be a tight fit. My wife, who critsizes all my clothes choices, saw them and commented that she liked the colors on those shoes, go figure. I bought them to go to Hawaii and they were perfect for that. Did a lot of walking on beaches with every kind of terrain, they are much better at that than any sandal or water sock, believe me. If the waves break over your shoes, no worries, the water just drains right out the bottom. Now that we're back home I can still wear them to work on casual day, they still look nice and feel great.
